Didn't see this new thread until now.

Can someone tell me why Dempsey's goal got waived off?..

i've been asking everyone the same thing. i sure didn't see anyone offside. the only thing i could think of is that the refs knew the floodgates would open after 3-1, and they didn't want the game to get out of hand so they disallowed his goal.

I sure hope that's not true. You could be right, though. It was an entertaining game, but Dempsey's goal could have been the winner. Oh well.

It would be nice if we could have a home field advantage once in awhile...

Youd have to play in foxborough every time to ever have a home crowd haha. Im convinced mexico will never achieve much in world play, its a fact that ive learned to accept over the years watching the world cup.

    Or maybe Columbus.

Mexico did pretty well in '06. If it weren't for that unbelievable goal by that Argentine (forgot his name) they may have shocked the world.

2002 is probably the closest we'll (USA) ever get, besides winning it all ages ago...

while on the topic of argentina, i might as well post a maradona video. one of the best runs ever. those first two cuts are unreal.
